Bio: I am currently working in Graham Pavitt's lab. I have my own research project on Caf20 and purifying the eIF2 subunits for antibody production. I also manage the lab in terms of ordering, chemical waste disposal, radioacitvity returns, equipment maintenance and servicing. I also look after the RAs, SOPs and COSHH forms, shared equipment and carry out local inductions. I also help BSc, Masters and PhD students with their experiments.

I am a trained DSE assessor, IOSH Managing Safely, fire/evacuation marshall, gas safety trained, liquid nitrogen trained, high speed centrifuge trained, AED trained and microbiology safety cabinet trained. Soon to be trained in First Aid and NEBOSH certified.

I sit on the Divisional Health & Safety committee for Molecular and Cellular Function, the PSS Development Network, the FBMH Athena Swan Network, the Staff LGBT network and Chair Governor for Broadoak Primary School.

I am also a Registered Science Technician by the Science Council since 2016
